1. Temperature adaptability of transparent sealing tape
The temperature adaptability of transparent sealing tape depends first on the adhesive and substrate used. Generally speaking, there are two types of adhesives used in transparent sealing tape: pressure-sensitive adhesive and hot-melt adhesive. Pressure-sensitive adhesive (usually acrylic adhesive) has strong adhesion and can be directly adhered to most surfaces at room temperature without heating.

2. Sealing performance in low temperature environment
In low temperature environment, the sealing performance of transparent sealing tape may be affected. For some relatively low temperature environments (such as below -20℃), the tape may become brittle. In particular, those tapes using rubber-based adhesives tend to lose flexibility at low temperatures, resulting in weakened adhesion or adhesive peeling, which affects the sealing effect.

However, transparent sealing tapes using acrylic-based adhesives are relatively more adaptable to low temperatures. This type of tape will not crack as easily as rubber-based tape at low temperatures. Instead, it can maintain good elasticity and adhesion to ensure sealing performance. Modern high-quality transparent sealing tapes usually enhance their low-temperature performance by improving the adhesive formula, so that they can still maintain efficient sealing in refrigerated, frozen or extremely low-temperature environments.

3. Sealing performance in high-temperature environments
The sealing performance of transparent sealing tapes is also challenged in high-temperature environments. High temperatures may cause the adhesive to soften or melt, thereby affecting its adhesion to the surface, and ultimately resulting in a weak bond between the tapes. Especially in high-temperature environments above 80°C, some transparent sealing tapes may have problems such as adhesive flow and decreased viscosity, and the sealing performance is limited.

However, transparent sealing tapes using polyester (PET) as the substrate perform better in high-temperature environments. Because polyester itself has high temperature resistance, it can withstand higher temperatures, and the adhesive formula is also specially designed to ensure that it can still maintain strong adhesion at higher temperatures.

4. Long-term stability under temperature changes
The performance of transparent sealing tape may also be affected by long-term exposure to frequent temperature fluctuations. Frequent temperature changes can cause the tape to lose adhesion during expansion and contraction. This effect is particularly evident in cold regions or areas with large temperature differences.

To meet this challenge, some high-end transparent sealing tapes use more sophisticated processes and technologies. For example, by optimizing the formulation of the adhesive and the selection of the substrate, the tape has stronger temperature resistance and better long-term stability.

5. Temperature recommendations for using transparent sealing tape
In order to ensure that transparent sealing tape can maintain efficient sealing performance in various temperature environments, users should follow some temperature application recommendations when using it. First, in low temperature environments, it is recommended to choose acrylic tapes with low temperature adaptability and avoid using tapes that may become brittle due to low temperatures. Second, in high temperature environments, polyester-based transparent sealing tapes should be selected, which have strong high temperature adaptability and can ensure the sealing effect.
